This addon is particularly useful when affiliates wish to share referral links to external marketing sites that link back to your primary site. Key Features Cross-Site Referral Tracking: Affiliates can share referral links to external sites (e.g., http://examplepromo.com/?ref=123). When visitors click these links and are redirected to your main site, their affiliate ID is passed along, ensuring proper referral tracking. Cookie-Based Tracking: Upon visiting the external site, the affiliate's ID is stored as a cookie in the visitor's browser. This cookie persists as the visitor navigates through the external site, maintaining the affiliate's referral ID. Non-Pretty Affiliate Links Only: The addon works exclusively with non-pretty affiliate links (e.g., /?ref=123 or /?ref=john). Pretty links (e.g., /ref/123) are not supported. No Visit Entries on External Site: Visit entries are not recorded on the external site. They are only logged when the visitor arrives at your main site, where AffiliateWP is installed. Cookie Expiry Configuration: You can set the duration for which the referral information remains in the customer's browser after they visit the external site. Requirements AffiliateWP Pro License: Required to access the External Referral Links addon. AffiliateWP Installed on Main Site: Ensure AffiliateWP is installed and activated on your primary site. Add-on Installation on External Site: Install and activate the External Referral Links addon on the external site. Installation & Setup Install AffiliateWP: Ensure AffiliateWP is installed and activated on your main WordPress site. Activate Addon on External Site: On the external WordPress site, navigate to Plugins > Add New, search for "External Referral Links," install, and activate the addon. Configure Settings: On the external site, go to Settings > External Referral Links.
